i guess this is for all 4 of you who haven't taken me off your watch/frantically hate me or i haven't banned.

well that was all sorts of amazing. AW noted me yesterday and directed me to his deviation ([link]) that explained that there wasn't digital penetration. he discusses being pressed for time and having decided against a different version of the story that was also offensive.

however, as I've had to say about fifty times over the past few days, i have nothing against the depiction of a sexual assault in a book, my problem was how the characters and the text dealt with the subject matter (or rather, didn't deal with the subject matter). And this is something that I've said over and over and over, both in my original letter and in every post about it. However, people seem to think that my beef is with the fingers, even Mr. Warren apparently is ALSO under this impression, stating that in later reprints he'll make it more clear that she's not being digitally penetrated. I don't know why I have to say this so many times and why people insist fingers are my central argument. they weren't and aren't.

I don't know why everyone and their mother is having such a hard time reading it, honestly, it's not that long, kids. Once again, my problem is that Emp is sexually assaulted and nothing happens. Thugboy's associates were murdered violently and sexually assaulted and he is haunted by it. She's tied up and humiliated and she's bothered by it, has body issues and self esteem issues. But a sexual assault from this woman manifests no introspection.

(he also stated that what she did was indeed an assault, for all you people frantically trying to say it ...was an accident or something.)

i also got several people on my livejournal (a shit ton of anons) and here that stated that empowered was just porn and couldn't be expected to handle it maturely. This I find ridiculous, anyone reading the last chapter of volume two and still thinks this is just simply soft-core porn is gravely mistaken and incredibly stupid. Anyone reading Thugboy's dream sequence where he's haunted by his past and insists that this is just porn, has the IQ of an empty carton of eggs.

one commenter said that I should just trust where Warren is going with this, but his response reflected that he hadn't, of that moment yesterday, decided yet what the hell was going on there and was, if anything, nonchalant about the whole issue.

anyways. no, i won't be reading more unless someone else buys it and tells me that all the things that are freaking me out have been dealt with in a manner that befits the situation. But I doubt it.

In other news, i'm going to get a robot dog. my coworker got one in the mail at work and I require one as well. this robot dog will give me the cybernetic artificial love that i require. I would prefer a roomba which could also be my robot slave and clean my shit, but okashi, also known as the evil dark one, will not let me have one because she hates all things that are joyful and full of love.
